I saw this article the other day. I thought is was interesting that her coronation gown was based on her wedding gown. I see the similarities, but the coronation gown was much grander. Makes me wonder what her wedding gown would've looked like had she not needed ration coupons for her gown.

I think she did OK even with the ration coupons Wink

Oh, definitely. But the fabric in the coronation gown seems much more sumptuous, for lack of a better way to put it.

I've been lucky enough to be at BP exhibition this year and it was amazing. QEII had the best dresses when she was a 20 something and of course the coronation one beats everything 
plus, I really envy her figure at that time

The pictures of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation dress and coronation robe are beautiful. The details in the skirt of her dress are spectacular.   
I like the embroidery on the Coronation Glove.
