I like the dress, but it also reminds me of a lot of paper towels / tissues sown together to form a dress...

No to this dress.  Two thumbs down.  But the worst thing about this look is that she has to walk in with, and sit with this skeevie slime ball who is our Secretary of Treasury.  UGH

I like the bodice part but the skirt, when photographed, reminds me of a toilet roll! But the footage of the dress in movement makes it look better. Also, nice to see her wearing an order, she looks less left out now!

Is this what you  had in mind?

What I was thinking too Margaret. She looks like she is "dressing up" from her Mum's closet of party costumes. What a waste of money - can't imagine we will see that one again

I wish she would wear something a bit sleeker for once. Her dresses are quite frou frou. Also would be nice if she could have a different tiara.

Honestly my favourite banquet dresses so far have been:

which I know a lot of people hated, but was interesting, a nice colour and a great fit. It was a total 80s revival and I loved it in retrospect. The jewellery was great, too. Pearls, pearls and more pearls!

(yep I know this one was worn in Norway, but it was princessy and moved beautifully)

The others have been too plain (if a nice colour):

Too froofy:

Pretty, but a bit juvenile:

Again, pretty but fluffy and that exact shade of white is kind of harsh on her

Lovely dress. It looks very MM-ish. Definitely something she would have worn in baby blue or baby pink.

True. While I actually quite like this dress, it also kind of reminds me of that baby blue “post it” dress that MM has worn. That thing was ugly, though.

I rather liked the dress myself. Thought she looked great. Unfortunate who they were hosting.

I really liked kate's gown from last night. Not everyone is built to wear those ruffles, but she pulls it off.

I thought Kate looked beautiful, I liked the dress and her makeup was on point.  Her dress actually reminded me of Sarah Michelle Geller's wedding dress - which I also loved.

Most of all, I was just so excited to see her with her new order.
