I saw this on Alexander McQueen's web site and my mind immediatly went to Kate. I believe it would look absolutely dreamy on her, this is an ideal design for her figure and I loved this pattern! What do you think?

I don't see this as a gala dress, but it would look beautiful on her. She has been blessed with the genes of an amazing figure (and a disciplined mind to mantain it)

Would look great on Kate. Maybe at a late afternoon garden party?

I agree that's not exactly a gala dress but I wouldn't characterized coctail dress either. I'm not sure though.

There is a midi version of this dress, with cape sleeves, that I could see it in a coctail party but I find this long and sleevless version trully amazing.

I love that dress tho I’m not crazy about the hemline.  Agree it would look very pretty on her though.

I don't like this dress very much, but Kate, with her broad shoulders and tiny waistline, would look great in it. I'd style it with different belt and shoes, and probably change the hemline to a more traditional one.

This is stunning! However I don't like the cape- Kate has broad shoulders and it makes them look like a linebacker.

One of my favorite dresses but why does it look like they are going to different events? She looks summery and he looks dressed for winter.

She does always look really nice in Jenny Packham!  Don’t remember many green evening gowns that she’s worn but this one has a nice light, “foamy, etherealness” to it that Kate does so well.

She has a couple, at least (I nerdily know because they are two of my favourites!):

This Alexander McQueen one, worn once to BBC Sports Personality of the Year

and this lovely Temperley one

and there's the green sequin one she wore in Pakistan
