Is she wearing a slip underneath!?! Tbh this is one of my favorite coats of hers, hate the hat though, accessories could be better. Love the color. But it is a copycat, very similar to Diana's green/black combo.

CRIKEY! She has nothing on under the coat?Huh?

I could be wrong but it looks like a small triangle of a very short skirt is visible .

Looks like the coat lining or MAYBE a very short slip (petticoat) to me - if it's a skirt, it's far too short Sad.

ETA: okay, not the coat lining.

So that coat is bespoke?
To me, it looks like an exact copy of this one:

Like in bringing the red one to have the Designer copy the cut and make a new one in another color. Even the buttons are the same.

I am currently in Thailand and every seamstress here could have done that for like 300 USD.

I do really not see where the reportedly 7000 USD went to. Catherine Walker seemed to have copied herself and cashed in twice.

When copyKate and copyCatherine work together, the sufferers are Charles' Black Amex and we, the onlookers bored beyond belief ...

Quotes are from News & Photos of W&K topic.

...and she is definitely not channeling a Jackie Kennedy look...

This is not an outfit in JK's style.

Kate looks like a head nurse from the 1950s.

Or a cross between head nurse and airline attendant.

The more I see it the more I think it looks like something a nurse in an insane asylum would wear. IMO it needed a contrasting colour with the that coat; might have looked good with Beatrice's gold hat or something even more of a contrast.

I think she looks fine. A tad boring, but fine.

You can see the similarities between today's Emilia Wickstead piece and that worn to the Irish Guards in 2012.

OMG, I think her "style" comes directly from old pattern books for sewing.

For me that would be a compliment; 1930s and 40s fashions are my absolute favourite.  That said, Kate makes everything look BLAH. There's not a whit of glamour to her. Maybe if she wore her hair in a gorgeous '40s do it would help, but that damn Barbie mane just makes her look twee and unfinished...

SIMILARITIES???  Nerves isn't that the same coat only in a different color?  I can't find one difference.  Are they both Wickstead pieces? if so,  she is sadly unimaginative . JMO    Thumb up thank you so much for providing the comparison.

And she has another light blue coat from the easter mass they attended while in Australia and also another one in a shinny fabric so no need to buy a new one. And why not the red one she wore during their arrival to Australia carrying George?

Go back to page 1 of this topic and you can see the other coats she owns that have this same silhouette.
