Babtism - October 23, 2013

The following guests will attend Prince George’s Christening today at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace:
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh
The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry
Mr and Mrs Michael Middleton, Mr James Middleton and Miss Pippa Middleton
Prince George’s Godparents and their spouses

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked the following people to be Godparents to Prince George:

Mr Oliver Baker (Oliver Baker attended the University of St Andrews with The Duke and Duchess)

Mrs David Jardine-Paterson (Emilia Jardine-Paterson attended Marlborough College with The Duchess)

Earl Grosvenor (Hugh) (Earl Grosvenor is the son of The Duke of Westminster)

Mr Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton (Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton served as Private Secretary to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry from
2005-2012 and continues to serve part-time as Principal Private Secretary and Equerry)

The Hon Mrs Michael Samuel (Julia Samuel was a close friend of The Princess of Wales)

Mrs Michael Tindall (Zara Tindall is The Duke of Cambridge’s cousin)

Mr William van Cutsem (William van Cutsem is a childhood friend of The Duke of Cambridge)

Prince George will wear the hand made replica of the Royal Christening Robe, made by Angela Kelly, Dressmaker to The Queen.

The Lily Font and water from the River Jordan will be used during the baptism.

Following the service, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will give a private tea in Clarence House. Guests will be served slices of christening cake, which is a tier taken from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding cake.

Official photos

Holy crap...those are pretty freaky and awful. What is up with the over the top, washed out lighting and soooo much photoshop?!?  Yuck...don't like any of them.  Nerves

The one of the three of them is so bizarre. Waity looks like she is on drugs, Willnot has way too much hair...and even George, as cute as he looks, doesn't even look like the same kids as at the chapel.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. The lot of them (photos)...

Edited...oops, just back from class...late to the party as I see y'all have been dishing on these awful photos in the other thread...(running off to join you all...)   Beer

All that beige, I almost didn't see Diana's ring. A nice surprise, since it used to take center stage a lot of the time (just by the virtue of being a big blue thing)

Is it just me or does George look older than 3 months?

He's quite big and I was surprised by his arm motion in this pic. Bi-lateral motions like this are often seen in babies a bit older.

So I guess he is either developing quickly or the surrogate had him early   Wink

He's wailing his arms thinking, "yay! I won the birth lottery!"

Seriously though, he's remarkably alert for a 3 month old.

Maybe he's just like mummy - looks 5 years older than actual age.

LOL!  That goes for both Kate and William.  William actually looks ten years older than his actual age.

This is from another thread on RD;
I blew up the picture of George and cropped out everyone.  I like this pic!

Are there any higher resolution large scale images of these pics on the net?

(Hope it's OK to quote outside of the tread Secret)

Why didn't the queen hold Prince George in any of the photos? I should have thought she'd be holding the baby in the QV-EVIII repeat!

The baby is half Middleton, not his fault of course, but there are limits as to what can be expected of HM!  Wink
