I think it is wise not to rule Eaton out, so taking the necessary steps in case they choose it seems sensible.

I wondered about Eton. Itís where all the future prime ministers and parliament people seem to go so if George is going to be a future leader, it seems like that is the place to be. But I also thought they would break the mold and go Co-ed so he and Charlotte could go together.

As I understand it going to Eton is a Spencer family tradition so it might have a very personal meaning to William besides him maybe, possibly, probably having liked going there.

It is also close to their home, I wonder if Eton allows day students or do they all board?

It's full board with 2-3 weekends home each term.

Wellington would be a good inclusion on their list...co-ed, about 15 miles from Windsor, mostly board with some local day students, boarders have the option to go home Saturday afternoon/evening (returning Sunday evening), solid academically but also sporty.

I think that Kate would lean towards a day school, I canít see her and William only seeing George a few weekends a term. I read I that Kate did not do well as a boarder in one of the private schools she attended. Wellington seems like a school they could send all three of their children to. Not that long of a commute either.

Depending on how long the school day is, their extracurriculars, and homework even 30 minutes each way might be a bit much.  But with the option to go home every weekend things can be managed.

Kate and siblings did board at Marlborough College, which is full board with 80% of students remaining at weekends and 1-2 weekends home per term, so boarding is something she's familiar with.  Various articles have claimed she boarded part week the last year or two of prep school as well.  Kate struggled with bullying at Downe House which she attended for two terms before going to Marlborough.  I've read several articles that claimed her being a day pupil at Downe House complicated things as she didn't really bond with the other girls.

He's a cute kid and it's nice seeing him grow in confidence. His parents are doing the difficult task of raising all three children with rules but also in response to their own personalities and characters it is not an easy balance.

I have a grandson who is one month younger than George. The past year the changes, not only physically, but in terms of how he interacts with the world, have been immense.  The baby, toddler, and little kid are gone forever. And so it is with George. I wonder how tall he will be ultimately? My grandson is in the 99th percentile for height, so I fear there will be some very long trousers and very big shoes in his future. Given George's DNA, I might expect the same.

It doesn't matter how old you get, buying snacks for a road trip should always look like an unsupervised 9-year-old was given $100. Anonymous

Both mom and dad are pretty tall, and while both sides have some shorter genes, all signs point toward him being 6+ feet, IMO.
