The way they are in sync - I think Will is a very important figure in his son's life. It is nice that they are so close.

It's so adorable!

ITA. Lovely to see them together enjoying a football match.

For me George seems to be resembling William more, but with Kate's eye colour. I think he is an interesting mix of Spencer and Middleton genes.

It's also SO nice to see him relaxed in public. Like grandfather Charles, George seems to be very studious, thoughtful, perhaps bordering on shy. He's also gotten so tall!! I can't believe he's almost 10!

I see George VI in his shyness and Bowes-Lyon in his looks as well as Middleton. Darling child.

I see Diana's brother in George. He seems a very nice young man.

I don't think the Spencer genes are very prevalent. The Spencer daughter do not look similar to their dad in any way or shape. Not sure about his son.

New SM rumor has William, Kate, and George touring Eton this morning.

Personally not surprised, though I’m sure they’ll consider several senior schools.  The Eton admissions process is quite lengthy.  Boys need to register by end of year 5 (for George that’s 30 June 2023) and take pre-tests fall of year 6 (for George fall 2023).  Those who score adequately have interviews spring of year 6.  Those who pass the interview are offered a conditional place and take the entrance exams in year 8 (George the 2025/26 school year).

We will see what happens.

I can’t believe we’re at that point. Discussing George registering for Eton. I feel like the “Great Kate Wait” was yesterday.

Wow! Eton already. He still seems so young to me. I remember him being born like it was yesterday.

I wondered about Eton. It’s where all the future prime ministers and parliament people seem to go so if George is going to be a future leader, it seems like that is the place to be. But I also thought they would break the mold and go Co-ed so he and Charlotte could go together.

Fewer men who make it into politics go there than you’d think so I doubt the chance to be educated with future politicians is a driving factor.  My guess is the BRF’s link with Eton is a driving factor…that and proximity, though it is full board.  Of the BRF to include…

The Gloucester branch…Prince Henry (1sr British prince to attend), his sons Prince William and Prince Richard, and Prince Richard’s son Alexander Windsor

The Kent branch…Prince Edward, his son George Windsor, and George’s son Patrick Windsor.  Prince Michael and his son Frederick Windsor.  Princess Alexandra’s son James Ogilvy.

All three of Margaret’s grandsons… Charles Armstrong-Jones, Arthur Chatto, and Daniel Chatto.

And of course William and Harry.

I think it's both good and bad to go to school where there's been a family tradition.  My youngest daughter was in the third generation from our family to attend a particular private school. And she was the last of eight members of her generation. She got really tired of being recognized as ``oh, another one from the XX family. Well . . . .'' At the same time she also liked being recognized for the same reasons. And yes, when the grands started arriving, off they went to the same school as well. It's a family tradition.
