I really like this hat, but if you had told me it was a rewear, I'd have believed it because it seems very similar to many other hats she wears. To be fair, I guess there are only so many ways to design a hat without veering into "York girls at the wedding" territory.

I would have loved a rewear of Kate's other blue Juliette Botteril hat (I just love the scale) with one of Kate's many, many blue coats  Or I would have loved to see the blue Canada hat again  I'm half convinced I have a better understanding of Kate's hat collection than she or her staff do... |

She has debuted a LOT of new hats so far this year. Honestly, some of them have been gorgeous and she's tried some interesting new styles, but still, a lot of new hats considering she has so many excellent worn-once hats in her wardrobe.
2022 has seen 4 new Philip Treacey hats, two Alok Golding (the green St Patrick's day hat and the black boater), the new blue pillbox, the white Jane Taylor headband and now this blue Botteril percher

The blue Elie Saab ensemble from 2019 was by far my favorite and it would be tough to ever beat (for me). As much I am over the white lace, too, if she ever decides to go that route again here's hoping she rewears that white lace dress she wore in Jamaica during the military event.

The blue Elie Saab ensemble from 2019 was by far my favorite and it would be tough to ever beat (for me). As much I am over the white lace, too, if she ever decides to go that route again here's hoping she rewears that white lace dress she wore in Jamaica during the military event.
The blue Ascot outfit was really elegant - one of her best. I'm surprised that no part of her three Ascot outfits has been repeated. I quite like the unusual straw hat she wore in her first Ascot appearance. It would be a good garden party hat |
