White is an acceptable colour for mourning. It is the absense of colour in fact and as such quite suitable. The Benelux countries have had long traditions with white funerals. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and her family wore white at the funeral of her mother  Queen Juliana.
QEQM for instance wore white at a state visit to France while in deep mourning for her mother. Made quite an impact...

If I remember correctly, the original poster was a big fan of theirs and managed that website but passed away a few years ago, so perhaps the domain is no longer maintained.

Me too. I talked to her a lot through PM as we bonded over our religious feelings. She was a wonderful woman and so kind. She always said she prayed for me and it made me feel so loved.

In 1955 Fabiola wrote Los Doce Cuentos Marvillosos (The Twelve Marvelous Tales). Peter Reijinders, a member of the creative team of Efteling, a large amusement park in The Netherlands, met with Queen Fabiola in 1962 hoping to use her story The Indian Water Lilies to develop a ride at the park. The Queen agreed.

By the way the song played when they "dance" is rather well known in the Netherlands. Many can directly associate it with The Efteling
