Here's an amusing little clip of Stephen Fry & Co. discussing how the BRF spends Christmas (from QI about 6 yrs ago). Enjoy!

These photos of the Queen and the DOE make me think that I need to get overto the UK in the very not so distant future.  After they are gone, there will never be their likes again. Cry

I wonder if anyone will be allowed to actually touch George.

According to the Daily Express, HM will play host to 30 members of the BRF this Christmas. Once again the servants are being shuffled to other quarters to make way for family members ie: Chattos and Linleys.  Sad Sorry that the staff have to give up their rooms, but glad to see David and Sarah there with their families. Having Amner Hall open next year should ease some of the crowding.

I'd forgotten that HM used to have Christmas at Windsor during the 60's and 70's after the royal baby boom. They moved back to Sandringham in the late 1980's.

- Some 30 members of the royal family to spend Christmas at Norfolk estate
- Guests to sleep in servants' quarters, cottages and share bedrooms
- Royals open gifts on Christmas Eve before a candlelit banquet
- Christmas Day is spent at Church and then playing games
- The Queen and Prince Philip will stay at Sandringham until February

(I seem to be article-stalking you today TLLK Blush Nono)

It will be fun to see royals we normally don't get to read about/see during the year that much Yes

God no - he's the Messiah.  I heard James tried to touch him at the Christmas lunch last week and Waity was so angry she demand Sophie tie James' hands behind his back with Ed's tie.

I doubt that William's Amner Hall will be used by anyone except the Middleton's

Now I heard it was Kate herself who put her Scout knot tying skills to work. Tongue She had James lashed to a table leg so tightly that it took them hours to untie him.

You could be right.  I did hear that James had to be spoon fed his lunch because they couldn't get his hands untied.  Sophie was not impressed that her own precious Messiah had Spanish bull fighters imprinted on his wrists from Ed's tie.
