Recently my partner and I watched a documentary on Netflix about Ivy Ridge and related schools.

We were both surprised and shocked. That something like this would be possible. We both found it also striking that related schools, outside the US, in Mexico and the Czech Republic were closed (by authorities), while schools in the US were able to continue as usual.

Loosely translated as:

English woman who was missing for 52 years has simply moved

Update: 2 hours ago

An English woman who was missing for 52 years has been found alive. She appears to have moved to another part of the United Kingdom.
It concerns Sheila Fox from Coventry. She disappeared at the age of sixteen, while still living with her parents. According to British media, including The Guardian, she may have been in a relationship with a man.

Fox was found at the age of 68 in another part of the country. This solves one of the longest-running missing persons cases in the United Kingdom. Due to the length of her disappearance, the case was considered a cold case.

West Midlands police had again put out a message in December in the hope of finding Fox. The message included a vague, grainy photo from the period in which she disappeared. This can be seen above this article. Within hours of the photo being released, people were contacting police. On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Fox had been found "alive and well."

"Every missing person has a story and their families and friends deserve to know what happened to them and hopefully be reunited with them," a police commissioner said. She praised the work of her colleagues.

It is not known whether she lives with the man she may have been in a relationship with.

Well, our 19 year old 'baby girl' is in Strasbourg, France for the semester. Her and her roommate (they came over to study together) will start at the Université de Strasbourg very soon. We are going to visit in April.  Nerves Nerves Sad Cry

Hope she's having a great time! Study aboard was my favorite part of college.

I once read Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have done more for more people in more countries than any other couple in the history of the world.  As I watch the beginning of his funeral events I'm in awe of his simple dignity and goodness.  He wasn't the best president we've ever had but he is surely the most decent human being to ever hold that office.    As an American I'm proud that he did his best for US and all other countries in the world, no wars started on his watch.   His personal ambitions, greed or avarice never shamed the office or citizens both in or out of office.

When asked about his happiest moments, one was the day the Iranian hostages were released.   Think about it, the day he left office after not being
re-elected  he was thinking of them and happy.  Sums up the character of the man.

His words of wisdom on his 77+ year marriage was, "You just have to stick."

It has been heavily snowing in DC for days, awful weather.  If you believe in signs...It's a beautiful blue sky day for his motorcade trip to the Capitol.

RIP Sir, we need more people like you in this world.   I'm sure you're happy and at peace in your precious Roses arms.
