Thank you!! It's been two weeks and we've gone on several dates. I'm trying something new this time where I take things a bit slower, so right now I'm just enjoying all the butterflies!

I am taking in person, weekly Spanish lessons. Adding to my Norwegian and French, anticipating a bike ride in Spain in September. Rewatched the dance movie Carmen, with Antonio Gades, and pained Lucia, Laura Del sol and Cristina Hoyos.

My son had his 4th THC induced psychotic break and is in a facility for a month. Then what? No idea.

Mel Robbin’s audio book, Let Them Theory, is helpful right now.

Will travel to Bergen, Norway for aone of my best friends 60th birthday, joined by our mutual French friend, whose 60th we attended in Bordeaux last year. Then on to Bruges and Amsterdam for the first time in my life.

Life is short. And. Life is long.

This board and the dishing is a godsend. Thank you.

The travel sounds so exciting! We head to France and Switzerland next week and get to see our daughter who is doing a semester there. The Lindt chocolate factory is on our list to visit.  Lolipop

I’m so sorry Paulina, they’ve bred strains of marijuana that are frighteningly strong. I’ve got a friend with brain damage from smoking that stuff for decades. Fingers crossed for your son’s recovery and I hope your holiday is wonderful.

Thank you, Countess, Jolene, vanilla moomin, and Principessa. Means a lot to me.

Son is, at the moment, stable. You are right about the percentages of THC in today’s marijuana. It’s like PCP or something.

Spanish is hard because I’m not able to put the required one hour a day into study.

Any recommendations of must see in Amsterdam? I heard there is an interactive Anne Frank exhibit. I wandered to go bicycling, see tulips. And eat Indonesian food.
Anything else highly recommended? Spot the royals?

Hmmmm, even as a Dutchie I am not that aware of the best spots, tips etc. in Amsterdam. In general it also got very touristic. It isn't my place.

Indeed try Indonesian food, is good. Biking is nice, but be aware of the (official and non official) rules,  and the Dutch biking. They aren't nice if they think you irritate/ block / etc them.

At my first time in Amsterdam,  in the late '90s, I was with my mother. We spend a lot of the Dam and surroundings,  just watching people 😀

Over time I visited more specific places, sometimes unplanned. And found some nice places,  but not those adviced for a 1st touristic visit.
