Hello, dishers!
I know this day, May 1st, is celebrated for workers fights and rights all around the world but, this year, as greek-orthodox we celebrate Holy Saturday and tomorrow we have Easter!!!!!!!
I'm very very happy, although I won't celebrate with my parents for 2nd year in a row, putting aside this, I'm very very happy.
I absolutely love Easter, its strong symbolism, the hope, the concept of Jesus' ressurection... and the food.
You may know that here we put a lamb (less often a goat) on a skewer (I googled this, I hope it is correct) which is absolutely my favourite food, ever
I also woke up very early this morning to make tzatziki!!!!!  

I don't know how interesting this info may be for you (probably not interesting at all   ) but I'm in a bad mood for a long time and today I want to share my happiness with you!
So, happy Easter from Greece, with love, and may next year we get to celebrate with our loved ones, whatever we want to celebrate!

It was a happy Sunday!
We still had days off, because May 1st was in Saturday, Holy Saturday, but the celebration about workers' rights were trasnfered for today and, traditionally, we eat meat. So, again, we had meat in the bbq and all those days were really fun.
I also got to clean and rearrange our summer clothing, I washed our closets with vinegar, I ironed most of our clothes and the next days I plan to clean the rest of the house too.

He is a very highly educated and kind man, and people like to hear him speak. He talks of a very humble background and has no 'airs'. I would say that many royals could only dream to have his popularity but he does not look for it. He is a very good example of the role of a president.

We had my grandma’s memorial service today. A lovely woman who left behind 13 children (5 bio, 8 step), 42 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. I hope my legacy will come close to hers.

If you've spent any time around cats, you've probably noticed that they love to curl up in small, cozy boxes. What you may not know is that they'll also go sit inside the two-dimensional outline of a square box on the floor. What's more, a new study has found that pet cats will also spontaneously sit inside an optical illusion that merely looks like a square.

Believed to be the first of its kind, the study enlisted volunteers to observe cats in their homes, a strategy to avoid what has historically been the main impediment to studying feline cognition in the lab — cats' notoriously uncooperative nature. DUH . . .

Participants received booklets with instructions on how to print out and cut up paper shapes that could be taped to the floor to create three options: the Kanizsa illusion, the actual outline of a square and a control that had the Pac-Man shapes facing outward. The volunteers were instructed to videotape their cats as they encountered these stimuli in short tests over six days, while the volunteers wore sunglasses to avoid inadvertently giving the cats any signals with their eyes.
