The compliments continue. A person complimented my maternal grandfather because Grandfather highly approved of Clover in a lawn. The individual declared that Grandfather is a Smart man!

I've clover in my lawn, purposely put there by me, and your grandfather is a smart man.  Smiley

Well everyone, yesterday we had to help our nearly 15 year old black Labrador  'home'. She had had a really terrible couple of weeks. As soon as I made the appointment, the lovely Dr Ann Viano  came for a second time this last year to help one of my girls over the bridge. She is wonderful so I will put the info up in case someone else in the tri state area of US needs someone to come to the house https://www.petdignifiedeuthanasia.com/.  We were extraordinarily lucky that in the time between when I called the doc and THAT moment, she rallied and had a really GREAT 36 hours..perky, happy and chewing her bone, which went into her grave with her. We should all be lucky enough to die in our own bed and in our own house, and not in the hospital with strangers. I would like to hope that Ellie is now with Daisy who left us earlier this year, and to the best dog ever, my Lucy. In my mind's eye, the girls are all young, and healthy and in no pain....running down the beach for the water. Rest well, Ellie-Bellie.

This is the first day in 25 years without a Labrador in the house.

Hug DoV, for Ellie. Dogs and cats truly break our hearts when they leave us.

DoV, sorry for you. I had to put down my 20 year old Pekingese who I referred to as ďmy first bornĒ. Itís devastating. Itís been a couple of years but my heart still isnít whole. My vet took paw prints and sent it to me.

Duchess of Verona - much sympathy to you. Fifteen years is a long time and I'm sure your dog was an absolute darling.
Take care.  Hug

So sorry for your loss, I had to do the same thing for our beloved a month ago. It hurts to look at my own avatar sometimes.

Iím so sorry for your loss Duchess. My fur baby has saved my life! This morning I was telling my cat Sebastian how we would make the weirdest reality show ever! I hope your dog is at peace and that your pain is dulled by your happy memories! ❤️
