Supposedly he got it back in March. His firm handled some kind of repossession or credit law. Not corporate, family/divorce, civil or anything that seems remotely interesting. Kind of a lawsuit mill, really.
What he was disbarred for was misuse of client trust funds (commingling, for example), which is actually really serious. Most lawyers treat client trust accounts with extra caution, because the consequences of mishandling are so severe...

He mixed personal and regular business funds with client trust funds. A huge no-no for a lawyer. He was suspended, so couldn't practice law, which is tough when you own the law firm. It will stay on his record (not sure how long, probably forever).

Well, if you can't practice, you'd probably lose all of them --even with a business partner. But then, as i said, he didn't practice "interesting" law like corporate, family, criminal, etc. Just some kind of repo or credit card balance lawsuits.

I've always worried that his lust for quick rewards had him angling hard at Theodora. If he has a taste of the high life and wants to hold a glass of champagne on a yacht then he might have thought she was going to be the goose who laid the golden egg. While I'm sure she has a trust it can't possibly be that big. She's no MC whose own inherited wealth might skew the way people see the larger family.

thx Celia  I red the other day that Vikings valued 'reputation' more than anyrhing. leaqve a good reputation and that will serve you well into afterlife. I just can't shake the OMG stay away from feelings from this man. he sets me teeth on edge  no doubt he's nice etc... mebbe he thought its her connections that he'll build his future business on...and get their $$$ how many will trust him with his past reputation tho'... did he own the firm?
