I read that Mary and Fred received 1800 gifts in relation to their wedding.

From Jyllands Posten:
Kronprins Frederikg og kronprinsesse Mary fik 1800 gaver i forbindelse med deres bryllup. Gaverne udstilles nu på Christiansborg Slot

Not forgetting that there was a yacht amongst these gifts, but this ungracious pair never collected it, so the guy who gave it eventually sold it.......so a thankyou letter or acknowledgment from these two is way beyond their mental capacity if they can ignore a  - YACHT!  Shocked

I remember reading that when Diana was on her honeymoon she spent several hours everyday personally writing thankyou notes (probably Charles was on the phone with Camilla).  Also, when Diana returned from a dinner or a personal party before bed she would write her thankyou note, to be put in the mail for the next morning.

Didn't Mary & Fred also get a swimming pool, a tennis court, a roof top something, a beautiful horse that Mary "claims" she rides every morning (ya---sure)--------------oh I wish I could find that site where it listed so many of the lavish goodies they got----not bad for a wannna be zero from Tasmania.

Anyone know what gifts Alex & Joachim received Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh??

Here are some:

“handmade seal skin dress that Donaldson will wear when she visits Greenland with Crown Prince Frederik in June.”

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-93792553.html

“24-piece dinnerware as a wedding gift with motives from fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen and designed by Lin Utzon, the daughter of the Danish architect who designed Sydney's famed Opera House.”

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-93852951.html

“The gifts donated last month by local communities, companies, private persons and officials included eight wrist watches, five cellular phones, seven digital cameras, a fire extinguisher, four dinnerware sets, underwear, socks, wine and pieces of Danish design furniture, among other items.”

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-95536862.html

“Among the gifts received by Princess Mary and Prince Frederick last month were a $400,000 gold-covered copper shrine, an erotic board game, a monogrammed lawn mower and five bicycles, the Australian reported Wednesday.”   Cool

How appropriate, considering how full of herself Mary is.  A place to put all those photos and magazine covers she's amassed!

A monogrammed lawn mower...are we really supposed to believe that either Fred or Mosh does their own yardwork?

Naked Twister, maybe?

I don't want to imagine ANYONE playing Naked Twister.  Unless it's me and Hugh Jackman.  And there are no mirrors in the room.

Sorry!  I found those links 5 minutes before I left work.  I didn't want to have to look for them again later.  I had no time to write and explain why I posted them, I just thought they were funny! Grin

I can't beleive they could really accept those gifts, let alone someone wrote articles about them.  Too outrageous!

It kind of reminds me of the "loony-tunes Princess of Norway" who read erotic fairy tales...maybe SHE gave that board game to them!
