In the topic 'Celebration of Queen Beatrix’s reign: February 1, 2014' (http://royaldish.com/inde...topic=13531.msg723107#new) you will find more information about specials and if possible with a link.

On January 30 the NOS broadcasted a special about Beatrix, I expect the one you have mend in your post: http://www.npo.nl/artikelen/afscheidsfeest-beatrix

On January 31 there was a special about Beatrix of the Dutch tv personality Ivo Niehe. In this special (former) heads of state and important politicians talk about Beatrix and their meetings with her: Margrethe of Denmark  Icecream, Kofi Annan, Richard von Weizsäcker, Farah Pahlavi  Champagne, Shimon Peres, Gül, Mary Robinson and Sonia Ghandi. (thanks to Sas  Thumb up)

Unfortunately the episodes of Ivo Niehe's show are not broadcasted on internet (nor live or the repeat). Therefore we can not provide you with a link to his show to see the special.

On February 1st there was the national "Thank you" to Beatrix in Ahoy, Rotterdam.
The following link provides you with pictures and some short video's: http://nos.nl/artikel/605...-beatrix-in-vol-ahoy.html

Well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
And with her hairspray intake it would have never broken  Laugh bounce

(in fact, you'll see that through the years, the colour has changed to much lighter (first blonde, now greyish) and the height of the front hsir has too. Also fun to see is her downtime hair. Somewhere (don't recall which thread) there are recent pics of her holidaying in Italy with WaxMax, the triple As and Mabel).

This is her eighties hair. Utterly recognizable, yet evolved from the style in the pic above.  Her 90s and 00s hair is also differing slightly. OK, it's still short and out of her face with height on top, but it's a pleasing shape that complements her face. Cannot think of a cut that wiuld suit her face better TBH.

@Pomme, an artist even made a pictogram of Beatrix, very recognisable

The hair of Beatrix after she was hit by water and wind on the Dutch Antilles:

Reminds me of that hairspray ad "3°clock - the Antilles - Hurricane: her hair looks flawless".
It is quite telling that the QueenBee's hair looks a gazillion times better hit by hurricane winds and water than Maxima on any given day!!!
