Also a suggestion.

Could we have a thread about royal ( around royal noble etc.) pregnancies, about who will be next or any sort of interesting speculations?

My suggestion: the Middletons before they   became rich and started to gravitate towards the upper classes.

Can you please centralize all of Waity's "Flashes" in a separate thread? There is enough of this to justify its own thread and from a user perspective we would  be able to avert our eyes from Waity's nudity gaffes!

Remember, she's only beginning her reign. (sigh) there is bound to be more to come... Crap

You need to explain what you mean a little further, sorry Secret Blush

Maybe a thread about what we would like Kate to wear... if there isn't one already...

Do we have a thread that covers this subject? Confused

As it's a general topic you can open the thread yourself Smiley Here http://royaldish.com/index.php?board=43.0 or here http://royaldish.com/index.php?board=20.0 for instance.

Can we have a thread where we can compare William with Charles/lizzie at the same age and stage etc and Kate with Diana, Fergie, Sophie et al. In terms of work, appointments and stuff. Perhaps fact based initially?! Also comparison across countries perhaps given that chronologically they are closer in age to the felipes and haakons etc

The situation being heir to the heir is relatively unique but I'd like to see some sort of comparison.
The Princes Trust compared to wills and Kates and Harry's foundation. Even Sentebale/Princes of Asturias/Mary Foundation.

I do realise that such a thread has the capacity to go horribly wrong but it would be interesting to see how they all stack up.

I am a little (lie: a LOT) worried about how the topic would evolve with Kate (and Diana) as the topic, so if you could perhaps make a more precise discription of the topic?

Often - when we are discussing Kate and William's complete lack of work ethic and absolute resistance to full time royal duties (My opinion) - there are comparisons made to previous "high profile" royals and threads go completely off topic and completely caustic - so I do get your reticence.

BUT

Fergie, like Kate, was a wife of a serviceman when married at first, she traveled to spend time with Andrew and yet I don't recall her not working at any royal engagements during this time.

Someone only a few pages back on the tour thread suggested that Diana didn't work very much while married to Charles (I do remember the news articles at the time and neither she nor Charles could match Anne in terms of engagements) and yet, learning from the mistakes of Diana and Fergie who were allegedly thrown in at the deep end at the beginning of their marriages is often cited as an excuse for Kate "being eased in"

So, essentially I'd like to see an information thread, one of facts not opinion per se - where what Charles did in his early thirties is compared to what William is doing. What they were doing with their foundations (The Princes Trust and Wills,Kate and Harrry Foundation) and what those foundations were/are doing for the British public are compared that sort of thing.
Look at the tour engagements from Charles and Diana's tours and compare them to the type of engagement that William and Kate are doing...were Chuck and Di visiting zoos and having play dates and this was just not reported negatively since Diana was so well loved?

Does that make sense? Not expressing our opinions on them but where work done is collated and compared.

That way we will know: is it about learning from mistakes? are they working just as hard as previous royals? are they doing a lot of work for their foundation and this is just not being reported on? is their foundation doing a lot of work and that's not being reported?

Sorry for the long post - I just think that an information thread may take some of the heat out of the opinion threads.

Exactly! The whole purpose being these would be in a thread that I could avoid reading and contributing to - I don't want to see her privates anymore! My eyes! MY EYES!

Just wanted to pop by and say thank you, Maria for all the great new threads in the William, Kate, George and Harry board.  I already gave you a  Star for the Diana/Waity clothes comparison thread, but in another 24 hours,  Star.  You've really put up some good topics that will be fun to discuss.

Also, it's good to have you back.  No one keeps order like you do!  (No aspersions on your husband, of course - you both have only shown me kindness in the few small dealings I had with you personally.)  So a  Star for Thomas, too - for keeping us (predominantly) female dishers dishing on the right things.

Holy molly I had no idea that Maria and Thomas were married lol I'm so delayed

As for a thread suggestion, wondering if anyone would be interested in a "Has anybody actually met Kate?" thread, like in the DRF thread about Mary?
