NEW: The Prince of Wales will feature in an appeal for @comicrelief this Friday. He meets people from a homelessness charity to talk about the "stark realities of homelessness that affect so many people in the UK, as well as what we can all do to help".

Prince William is Patron of two charities that work to tackle homelessness, @centrepointuk and @PassageCharity, and is "committed to playing a role in the efforts to making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurrent".

In the "special thought-provoking film", His Royal Highness meets Nawshin and Miles from @ItsGroundswell, a homelessness organisation funded by Comic Relief.


It will air on Red Nose Day, Friday March 17th.

Prince William, now heir to the throne, had his travel plans kept under wraps until this evening.
In Warsaw, he’ll meet Polish President Duda to, he said,  “underline my continued support and gratitude to the Polish people”.

This afternoon I travelled to Poland to meet British and Polish troops, where I heard about their extraordinary work in support of Ukraine.

My message to them on behalf of all of us, thank you!

Thanks to the generosity of the Polish people, those fleeing the war in Ukraine have found shelter.

Sadly, the humanitarian crisis continues today with many refugees seeking shelter at accommodation centres like the one we’re visiting today.

This centre provides two free meals a day, Polish language lessons, psychological & employment support and even a free shop giving its residents access to clothes as well as sanitary and hygiene products. It really is a sanctuary on the frontline of the humanitarian crisis.

That's a big visit to Poland, very glad to see him taking on trips like this. It's great to acknowledge the Polish people and how much they've stepped up for their neighbors. The pictures at the refugee center are especially sweet - love the ones with the little boy!
