Arch Training development manager at Faithworks, Rob Cox, said since the initiative began, the charity has seen people offering ‘game-changing’ opportunities of training and employment.

“We have been inundated with applications to become trainees, received mountains of gorgeous wood and requests for all manner of bulk orders ranging from serving platters to furniture. This is how real change can happen: people want to play their part: they can now see how.”

A very heartwarming Background look at how this wonderful Windrush Cymru visit came about:
Professor Uzo Iwobi went to Windsor Castle earlier this year to receive her CBE from Prince William. There, she invited him to her community.
She said: ‘When I came to receive my CBE, I told Prince William, if you think anything of what you are putting on my chest, come and greet the elders in Wales; shake the hands of these elders who have sacrificed for 75 years to make Britain what it is. They have never met royalty.’
William first told her to write to his office, but she insisted: ‘Promise me.’
At that Prince William said: “I will make this happen and I’ll bring Catherine.”
Professor Uzo further added about William:
"Today when he saw me, he said: 'I promised you and I keep my word.'"

That is quite beautiful and I admire this lady's commitment and dedication to her community and fearlessness in inviting royalty. William is often the best of both of his parents and it is always welcome to see.

He does look sharp in that jacket. And I think he's lost a little weight as well.
