Prince William with the Royal Navy of Oman

And arriving in Muscat earlier

4 engagements in Oman followed by 4 in Kuwait, all on the same day. These short, but jam packed tours seem a sensible idea to me.

Sipping Nescafe from a stained mug in the kitchen every morning became a ritual. Then they took turns making breakfast from Pop Tarts purchased from the all night garage, or nibbled on left over pizza from the Dominos trattoria.

Totally seems like a good idea to me as well. Jam lots in and spend less $$ on being away longer.

Yes, and avoid the “holitour” optics too.

^^^ Just did a bit of googling because I didn't know much about Oman before now.   Oman seems to be a fairly progressive country as far as women's equality is concerned, and its Outward Bound has courses for girls.  https://twitter.com/Outwa...status/790491304375517184

It's great to see William embrace his role the way he's doing lately. He looks engaged, focused on the people he's with, and his smiles look genuine to me. He is definitely growing into a Prince of Wales. It will be interesting to see how he fills that important-but-difficult role with his own personality.

He's about 10 years behind in embracing his role, imo. But at least he's clean and pressed unlike his bro.

Better late than never.  I'm finding it difficult to find fault with William at the moment, and that's really something for me.

I was impressed by Prince William's demeanour and apparent sincerity when I saw video coverage of his visit to Christchurch (NZ) suburbs in March 2011 after the dreadful February 22nd earthquake.

It has seemed to me ever since then that he has what it takes.
