He could have drawn a stick family figure of Kate and the kids as his family and it would have gone over extremely well.
William drawing stick figures of the 4 other most privileged people in the UK to show to the homeless? I don’t know who that would have gone over “extremely well” with. 😬
I think most people would understand the concept of a person drawing their family to represent "home" for them. I'd say his idea of home is far more complicated than the houses he has. But anyway.
Most patrons of charities are going to being better off than the majority of people the organisation they're trying to support even if they have the condition that the charity is trying to combat. If leaders and reps only stuck to things they know then they'd be visiting a very small slice of society.
Seyi Obakin, CEO of Centre Point came out in William's defence after the events of March 2021 saying that he had known William for over 10 years and he (William) had spent time with his family and time getting to understand the problem of homelessness. We can see that he's done a lot of different events with them over the years and if his Big Issue stunt gave him any insight into what it's like to stand at a street corner whilst so many people actively pretend you don't exist or encouraged a few people to pick one up from a local seller, then it was worth it.
