Well..  Wink The W&K news thread gets very long and since they seem to be doing more things on their own it makes sense to have seperate threads. Great suggestion from a poster actually Champagne

"Sales have been rising as fast as those flood waters. So... from 10 to 340, which welly is worth it?" http://www.dailymail.co.u...3-340-welly-worth-it.html

The eternally stylish Kate Middleton shows just how good wellies can look if you wear them with confidence and a smile

I can see wearing rubber boots if you're slogging around in floodwaters, mud, slush after a snow storm, or living in the country.  It always amuses me to see fashionistas wearing their Hunter boots with some girly dresses.  I prefer leather boots, myself.  (waterproofed if necessary)

Kate Middleton and the Queen to welcome stars of stage and screen to Buckingham Palace 17 feb 2014 http://www.mirror.co.uk/n...een-welcome-stars-3154431

Quote
The duchess of Cambridge will be the Queen's right-hand woman tonight as she welcomes some of the world's most celebrated actors to Buckingham Palace.

Kate, 32, will stand alongside the Queen, 87, to greet guests including Dame Helen Mirren, Benedict Cumberbatch and David Tennant for a reception for the dramatic arts.

The duo will chat to a selection of the 250 guests before moving to the Ballroom with other Members of the Royal family for a series of short performances.
.......

The evening is significant for Kate as it marks one of only a handful of times she has so far been invited to take a key role without her husband alongside his grandmother.
..........

Benedict Cumberbatch and David Tennant! Drool, so unfair! Cry Tongue

A few more details coming in from the Palace this evening.

The guest list also included John Hurt, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, directors Steve McQueen and Mike Leigh, Jane Horrocks, Angela Lansbury, Sir Michael Gambon, and comedians Harry Hill and Lenny Henry.

Soon after Lenny Henry was introduced to the Queen, he joked to other guests: "This is Helen Mirren - she's brilliant".

Film-maker Lord Puttnam, producer Harvey Weinstein and playwrights and screen writers Sir Tom Stoppard, Alan Bennett, Michael Frayn and Sir Ronald Harwood were also among those invited.
