OMG those delphinium! I’ve never seen their equal. I wonder how Charles keeps the snails and slugs from chomping on them? If I don’t put heavy amounts of snail bait, mine get eaten down to the ground every year. But of course, old organic Charles wouldn’t do such a thing.
I've read that pans of beer are useful for snail/slug control. They drown in it.
I've always wanted to get a bunch of seed packets from the Highgrove shop to make my own wildflower meadows, but since I only have a balcony (with no direct light) --alas!
Pans of beer are useful for snail control. But I did it once but would never do it again. Next morning all those snails were lying there dead, a horrible sight. Even if they eat plants they still are living creatures.
I guess and hope there are other methods to keep them away.
