A thread for the pics where Kate is copying Diana. Fashion and mannerism.

Please DO remember we DO NOT want Diana discussed - photos and fact are fine obviously Smiley

Wonderful idea for a thread, Dishers!  Supercontent Jumping Champagne Banana
Star to Maria for opening it.
Does anyone know who suggested it so I can send a star their way?
And I'm giving all above  Star Star Star for the lovely pics posted.
Thanks for sharing.

So, do we have another name for her?  Has anyone suggested, "CopyKate"?  LOL.

Although they usually say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, I wonder how much of this is Kate trying to learn from the best (Girlfriend has a college education and went to secondary school at one of the finest schools in the UK and she doesn't know the difference between "learn from" and "copy".  I'll never, ever understand that)?

Anyway, I wonder how much is Kate trying to copy learn from Diana as opposed to giving her horse sugarlumps pleasing William by imitating his dead mummy.  I see a pretty clear distinction between the two, as far as their psychology as a couple goes.

So now we have Kate + William + Diana and of course the original Kate+William and now there's Kate+William+George as well as Kate-the-Middleton-girl-whose-going-after-the-Prince, etc, etc, etc.

Where is Just Kate?  Does she even exist anymore?  Instead of disliking her, I come to pity her more and more.  Not the pity that comes from compassion, but the schadenfreude kind tinged with contempt.

Sorry to go on a rant on a picture thread, but the obvious copying of Diana just made me think of how little sense of self Kate must really have.  That's one thing Diana never ever, ever had the slightest bit of a problem with, either.

PeDe, love the pics. Star  Wow, I am always amazed at how glowing Diana was, no matter how often I see pictures.  But your great signature about your adorable dog made me think of these classic moments of Kate copying someone else Seabiscuit loves more than he loves his wife.  Roll Eyes

I'm having a really hard time finding photos of similarities of Waity and Di's gestures. I can't even think of any from memory and I am a Diana fan. So here are a few expressions that I have never seen from Kate:

compassion

shyness

tenderness

dignity

duty
This is what I got for Kate

Kate also does quite a bit of flashing that I don't remember Diana doing.
The RING

The Body
Kate has flashed nearly all of her body at sometime or another for the WHOLE world to see. So I'll leave those photos out. Google has a large collection if anyone is interested.  Flashing is something else I don't remember Diana doing.

Since it is a given Lamebridge has copied the lovely D, I prefer to show Cathy in her most obvious copycatting, and not just the dress, mentality and body baring.

I'd forgotten how god-awful boring her wedding dress really was.  Big yawn.  But she could never have arrived at the altar looking like Diana, anyway.  Diana looked shy/afraid and in love; Kate looked smug/self-assured.

Their body language looks different, here, too.

Shy versus smug, again:

And no one could make an exit like Diana:

But these two are my favourite.  (I hope it falls under this thread to also show when Kate and Diana are different; if not, please move, moderators, and I apologise.)
These two show the stark difference in personalities and the ability to behave; hard to believe Diana was the one with no high school diploma, who nannied and cleaned for a pound an hour and who was less than a month away from having been a teenager and less then a year from having been almost completely anonymous while Kate was habituated to the attention for years and was in her thirtieth year.

I also hate the smug look on her face in this one; I know I'm getting very redundant, but it has irked me since I got up at four AM to watch that boring wedding.  They looked as though they are lounging about, nothing serious.

I can see why they would have avoided the hymn, "I Vow to Thee, My Country", for their wedding, but they didn't even look as though they were thinking about the concept at all, although I did like the prayer they wrote.

Just a friendly reminder: pics and facts about Diana are fine but please remember: no discussions/speculation and so on Smiley

Also I might end up closing the thread because yikes, there's something very creepy about some of the copying taking places Blink Shocked Nerves
