Thank you so much for sharing.

It is my dream to go to Hever Castle and walk the halls that Anne Boleyn did!  Blush

Hever Castle has two of Queen Anne Boleyn's prayer books, or Books of Hours. They were made in Belgium in about 1450 and were printed on vellum.

Apparently the castle once had a strong connection to Lady Susan Hussey's family.

Hever has the most divine rose gardens. When we were there 25 years ago they were in full bloom. Sadly they have built a whole  low rise convention center around it. I have not seen it since it was finished but they were working on it while we were there.

Hever is definitely on our list to visit when we return next summer. Our cruise leaves from Dover and we will spend a few days in Kent/Sussex area doing the manor house and gardens in the Southeast of England. Juliet has never been and is very excited to do England/Scotland/Ireland. As she put it, “Mom I have citizenship to a country I’ve never been to.” She’s excited to meet the cousins, of which there are many. My great aunt had 16 kids!
