Well, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion (provided we keep it civil Wink Smiley ). And if that opinion were the same for everyone, it would be boring.

I think her amazing posture helps her to look good in most things. She stands ramrod straight. A soldier would be proud of her posture.

It still doesnít make the leather culottes look good, though.

Elegance indeed has nothing to do with being beautiful or pretty or having a good figure. You can have both and still look Kardashian and you can lack both and look fabulously elegant.
In Letizia's case IMO she usually looks rather elegant. But elegance just as fashion and beauty is quite subjective. Some find it elegant and classy, others boring..
But I can't find any Ugh with Letizia..

Fully agree. Taking into account that she has the smallest budget of the whole bunch, she is among the best dressed royals.

Yes, she would look much better in the navy suit the lady to her right has on.

Itís hard to pull off menís wear if you are slender. Or if youíre not.  Letís all agree that menís suits should stay on men.

Judging by the coat and the horrible men's suit (Miss Beaverhausen is so right about keeping the men's suits on men, though I presume few men would wear this monstrosity) it probably was a question of not fitting the sleeves into the coat sleeves without a lot of acrobatics, so she likely opted to just put it over the shoulders when getting out of the car.

(so now that we have a great explanation as to why she did this at this event, we have to find other excuses for all those times she wore the coat this way and had no sleeves to bother with  Thinking)

She only spent a few minutes outside, there was no need for a coat.  The men's suit is boring. She wanted to be low-key or austere, but it usually ended up dressing poorly.
