Earlier this year the gardners of Palace Het Loo requested/was in search for flowers named after Princess Grace of Monaco. They want to use these flowers as an extra to the exhibition about the princess Grace in Palace Het Loo this summer.

Flowers they were looking for:
- Lily princess Grace
Following a visit to Amsterdam’s International Flower Show in the 1970s, the renowned Dutch lily breeder, Klaas de Jong, named a lily Lys Princess Grace (now called simply Monaco). With fragrant pale yellow blooms, this sturdy plant thrives in the warm Côte d’Azur climate.
- A soft orange tea rose Grace de Monaco
- A white rose the Princess of Monaco

Princess Elizabeth rose:

Queen Elizabeth rose

Crownprincess Margarethe rose

WOW! I love roses! In my garden I have crown princess Margarethe (and I think it refers to Marge's granny) and Princess Caroline  of Monaco(a White with a hint of Yellow rose)but in this case  Princess Caroline wins !
Now given the very hot climate my garden is turning yellowish and the roses are almost all already faded. Sad Sad

I love roses too, and euphorbias. I have a soft spot for euphorbias as they cope with almost any weather and bad soil, and are great for insects. They also bleed white toxic sap, which only adds to the fun.

We may not have that many flowers named after kings and queens over here on our side of the pond, but the fragrance of our Mr. Lincoln rose will knock your socks off! I assume it's named for our 16th president.
