Personally I found quite a few of the responses a little too saccharine. 

Also, there seemed to be a subtle, yet deliberate, attempt of Marie's part to try and adjust the perception Danes have of Joachim. For example when she talks about how she is the stern parent when Joachim is the one with the reputation for sternness.

"One of the big differences I noticed was that everybody biked around with their children. It was nice, and not something I had seen before – at least not in France. I could also notice at the same time that here they appreciated a good balance between work life and family life. It is a strength, and I think it makes Denmark something quite special.”

I love this. It's one of my favourite things about Denmark/Sweden/Northern Germany.

I rolled my eyes a few times during the interview - I mean: most women dream about meeting the prince?? Well, no. But this is Bon-Bon after all. I do like her but meeting a good man and being married has seemed to be her goal #1 since she entered the scene so there's that. She met her good man and he happened to be an actual prince so I guess this is just how it is for her. While meeting a good man is a good thing I think/hope/pray most Danish women are a bit above the "meet-a-prince-and-become-a-princess" thinking

M: Time is a luxury. We are very busy with Schackenborg not just our home but also a farm. Luckily my husband and I are working together.

Do you think Marie knows that Mary tore up her "beloved" granny's letters and chucked them out in the trash? Like, the same granny she teared up over in an interview (don't forget that Mary had acting ambitions and appeared in advertisements!)? If Marie already thinks Mary is a bit cold & self-centred, that knowledge would certainly underline her opinion!

She may be too sweet but she didn't have the audacity to insult Denmark or the Danes or her husband. Mary has quite cheerfully does all those, even on camera!

I think that was one of her earliest interview's and maybe that's how she saw her. Yrma is known of charming people in the beginning, until you start to see through all the bullshit.

And since Marie was brand new in that family I can imagine her thinking she has an ally - until she opened her eyes. You don't hear this crap out of her mouth anymore.
