Queen Maxima of the Netherlands participates in the Financial Inclusion Forum at the Treasury Department in Washington, DC on December 1, 2015. I don't follow Max too closely. Curious to know if she makes meaningful comments when she participates in these microfinance forums.
Yes she worked in banking for a few years before marriage, and it's great she can apply her experience to these microfinance causes, but AFAIK she wasn't any sort of expert on this stuff when she was a banker. Not even sure she has an MBA degree. I'm certain she doesn't have a Ph.D. in business.
So without the deep experience in banking she would've gotten if she worked in banking longer and without the intellectual depth an advanced degree in business would've given her, how much does she really contribute to these forums? Does she make empty comments (like Mary) or does she make comments that point to deep knowledge of finance and its applications?
