What, like, on her way out?  Jumping

Bec Deacon: Yes, your Royal Highnesses. It has been my very great honour to serve you. I'm... just gonna throw a few things on the fire here.

KM: Pardon?

Bec Deacon: Oh, nothing. Nothing. (Tosses a handful of unweighted skirts, a bucket full of jeggings and a single pair of well-worn wedges onto a bonfire. And legs it). Freeeeee!

A guess at a replacement:

Gert's Royals‏ @Gertsroyals  3h
New Private Secretary for Kate?
Laura Baker, who is William's Deputy Private Sec
Worked for Prince Charles
2007-2011
Cabinet Office
2011- ?

I have an image of Rebecca dancing on a table top and shouting 'I'm freeee'.

Me too.

Hope she & new hubby go on a honeymoon to some destination where she has never been an employee accompanying her employer.  Wink

I  think they may consider Laura Baker but we know Kate is the type to only want those she trusts to be around her.  So I think there may be some serious discussions and maybe some job shifting.
Personally, I would not be surprised if she considered Natasha.
Secret For me that would be okay especially if it meant she hires a proper stylist.    Cool

I heard William/Kates staff get S*&% wages, so she could have gotten a better job unless her fiance' has a good job and she can look now?

I think she might choose Sophie Agnew. She was tour secretary in Canada.

She was my first thought especially as she has been Rebecca's assistant for sometime plus she graduated from St Andrews.

Then I remembered that Will and Kate often do things that don't make sense and sometimes shoot themselves in the foot.  Add in their paranoia and the fact that they shuffle staff around, even if they are not qualified, who knows what decision they will make.

What really should happen is they need to hire professional people who have the credentials to fulfill the necessary jobs.

Yes - the should indeed - but those people expect to be paid accordingly - so unless they are on secondment from Civil Service or Armed Forces it is unlikely to happen unless PoW increases their allowance.

Side post:

Adam Priestley's job is in the Not for Profit sector and will not be well paid. It's actually one of the things that jumped out at me last week.

I believe Charles gives W&K 4 million for their pay & staff, so I think they give their workers low pay so they can get a bigger cut imo. I believe Harry gets his own pay(probably not as much due to being single)

Wonder why Pips or Ma haven't become Waity's assistant/lady in waiting?

I guess Charles and the Queen don't want them in this position. At least I hope they try to prevent Pips and Ma from becoming LIW

i guess pippa,as much as she loves her sister, has better things to do than be her titled servant .after all she "served" all her youth as the loyal sherpa in kate's climb:time to move on and get a well deserved holiday from the royal related duties. Champagne
