Yes it is a big mistake design wise-don't like the band at all. i have seen some tri colour rings that look good but at least in this photo the stones look too light. A deeper colour might be better
the stones are deeper as you can see in the photo above the single ring.
Design-wise, I think, it's phantastic! Much better than those boring 3-stone settings, especially when stones are added on later to make it look more substantial than it really is.
If that would be all Emeralds, I'd wear it day and night
