I always think her features are so beautiful, particularly when in repose.

Have just spent some time trying to decide which da Vinci painting she most reminds me of, whether the Lady with an Ermine, or Ginevra de' Benci.

Champagne socialist anyway.

I noticed in spite of her self avowed atheism she did a mini genuflection at the Cathedral. I wonder if she takes Communion.

Beatrice is a rich white woman who calls herself "progressive" but really, she's tied to the neoliberal legacy, which honestly, is alarmingly similar to the neoconservative agenda. Obama came to the presidency amid a populist wave, he was elected in a wave of hopeful feeling that , finally, the US would shift gears from the neocon, Dick Cheney policies. However, Obama ended up doubling down on many those policies, most alarmingly the NSA surveillance and the lack of transparency. He promised to be a transparent president, but he was more opaque than any of his predecessors. So all the liberals who voted for Obama (me among them, twice) split off. There were the "neoliberal" who justified his selling out, and the people who eventually became Bernie Bros-those who recognized the Democratic Party's abandonment of liberalism. Beatrice falls into the first category.

It's quite understandable, girls. or guys. Whatever you are. I'm not a person many people relate to or understand. Maybe someday you'll get it, or maybe you won't, either scenario is ok.

WE should probably just drop it. As the person who made the original confusing post, I vote to just drop it altogether. I'm not so insecure that I must demand to be understood across the board, by every single member of the forum.

And with that said.... and in the spirit of the topic of this thread, I'm actually quite curious as to what you all think about that book that was written about Beatrice. Has anyone read it? I did, and I'd love to give my thoughts to anyone who is interested, but I am more interested in others' thoughts. I know my own thoughts very well, we are very intimate, so my curiosity tends to the unknown, and that is YOUR thoughts about it.

Is she still a communist? Lol.

she starts as a journalist for "Il Fatto Quotidiano" that is a really no Berluson similar politic. But since her marriage with Pierre...She has let her job ànd here in Italy you can see her just on the newspapers for her newlyborn and just that. it's a pity cause she was not so bad in that job.
