I'm not talking about her position if she really has a formal one in Monaco. Just her character and personality. Grace's looks without Grace's character. Beatrice reads as a blank slate for me. That's all I'm talking about. Whether she is a kind or mean person or silly or serious is also not what I'm talking about. Aesthetic impressions if you will sorry if that wasn't clear.

I can see your point, peirwinkle. And to be honest, it is very difficult to judge people's character just from pictures. Of some we know something more, because of scandals or charities or illnesses they had to endure or are involved. or what the international press is telling us (which is not always true and contains much speculation)
.
But we don't know them personally. I for example cannot understand why so many people on this board "hate" Mary of Denmark. I probably don't know much about her, her behaviour in public, whenever there are reports about her in german papers or recently on TV, she is always shown as one of the best of royals, even her MIL is paying tribute to her and she was given some special reward (which should have given to Frederic, as I understand)

Well she shouldn't try to be Grace because Beatrice is her own person.

I don't think she ever tried to be Grace. Comparisons to Grace are usually made by the press or by people. it is also ridiculous when Camille is compared to Grace "being as beautiful as her", a paper recently wrote.

They compared Camille Gottlieb to Grace?? Other than being a descendant Camille looks NOTHING like Grace! Stephanie takes after Rainier and is not remotely as pretty as her late mother or her sister.

Was Princess Caroline the first lady who was ever compared to Princess Grace?

If it weren’t OT I would post you a screed of Mary’s dodgy behaviour. It’s worth reading up in the old threads!

She’s quite articulate, without over sharing, and comes across as I’ve thought before—pretty sensible and grateful and self aware. And smart.

I truly hate this ensemble- it's an awkward combination of sophisticate and schoolgirl and it's too weird to be anywhere near elegant.

But I love the light makeup palate she's wearing.  It's refreshing to see a woman who doesn't line & shade her eyes like a raccoon.

Agree with you Gemsheal this is too costume-y for it to be elegant. It's kind of surprising since she seems to curate her look so well but if someone else is paying well that's out of her control but also hard to miss. But I like her light makeup and will say she looks better with her side eye crinkles. It keeps it real where her clothes show the sell out part.

I think she looks nice. And she personally has the money to by whatever she wants without asking Albert to write the cheque, so good for her  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatrice_Borromeo
