VISIT TO THE NETHERLANDS

HRH The Crown Princess participates in the Global Network of Women's Shelters' conference with The Mary Foundation on 4-5 November 2015 in The Netherlands.

The Crown Princess, in her role as chairman of The Mary Foundation, takes part in the conference, which has the objective of establishing exchanges of knowledge and experience across cultures and nationalities ? ultimately, to stop violence against women. HM Queen M?xima of The Netherlands also participates in the conference.

The Crown Princess is the keynote speaker at the conference on 5 November, and The Mary Foundation will also hold two workshops about its work with domestic violence during the conference. In addition to that, the conference will include a number of workshops on topics relating to the complex problem, including empowerment of women affected by violence, international cooperation on the issue, and opportunities to influence the international agenda.

The Crown Princess took part in the 2nd World Conference of Women?s Shelters in 2012 in Washington and has, for a number of years, committed herself to the task of opposing violence against women ? as chairman of The Mary Foundation, as a member of the High Level Task Force for the ICPD (International Conference on Population and Development), and as patron of both the UN Population Fund and Maternity Worldwide.

The conference was last held in Washington, DC, USA in 2012 and in Alberta, Canada in 2008. The Global Network of Women?s Shelters (GNWS) is behind the conference, which is organized in cooperation with local organizations.

this question is for our Danish dishers....aside from Yrma running a mock at those conferences, has anything changed for women in Denmark, has she made any difference, and are there results because of her ribbon cutting.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague will Thursday morning be visited by , Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. She gets a tour of the new headquarters of the ICC, which was designed by the Danish architects Schmidt Hammer Lassen.

The Danish royal court announced on Monday the  known program of the two-day visit that Mary Wednesday and Thursday brings the Netherlands. The main reason for the visit to the Netherlands is that Mary is attending the Third World Conference on women's at  the World Forum in The Hague.

Crown Princess Mary takes part in the conference panel discussions. Thursday afternoon after her visit to the International Criminal Court, she holds an important speech at the international conference. Crown Princess Mary dedicated her Mary Foundation for women and children who are victims of violence. The foundation organizes the conference two workshops on domestic violence.

It remains to be seen whether  Queen M?xima can be  present Wednesday and speech to Mary and the other thousand participants of the conference, as intended. Monday  the Government Information Service announced that Maxima has not yet recovered from a kidney infection and therefore she could not accompany king Willem-Alexander on Tuesday during a visit to the European Parliament, the European Council and the European Commission in Brussels.

Maxima born in Buenos Aires, Argentini?, 17 mei 1971
Mary born in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, 5 February 1972

So Max is at least 1/2 year older than Mary, but Mary looks way older than Max

Great to see Maxima back at work Banana Banana

And now the sugary article from BB with the photoshoped version of the pictures Tongue How graceful of Maxima to defy her illness just for Mary Roll Eyes

Queen Maxima defied illness for Crown Princess Mary

A smiling Queen Maxima went with Princess Mary on her first royal job after the hospitalization last week.

It was not to look at the queen Maxima that she has just been discharged from the hospital, when she and Crown Princess Mary arrived at the World Forum in The Hague on Wednesday morning.

The Dutch queen had last week interrupt a state visit to China because of a kidney infection, which she was treated in the Netherlands.

Tuesday canceled the queen an official event in Brussels, and Wednesday afternoon she participates not in an otherwise planned visit.

But for Princess Mary, who also in private is a good friend, she gathered her forces and took his famous good humor rather than participate in the Global Network of Women's Shelters' conference.

Good friends
The good chemistry between Princess Mary and Queen Maxima was clearly apparent when the big smile and bright eyes got out of their car in front of the convention center where the international conference takes place on Wednesday and Thursday.

Awaits the two charismatic women an exciting program where the focus is on stopping violence against women.

While Queen Maxima went on for an hour, continued crown princess Mary in his capacity as chairman of the Mary Foundation's busy schedule.

Mary keeps talking
Thursday facing Crown Princess Mary back to the conference to give a speech and participate in another panel discussion.

Princess Mary also attended the 2nd World Conference of Women's Shelters in 2012 that took place in Washington and has for several years involved in work to combat violence against women - as chairman of the Mary Foundation, as a member of the International Panel ICPD's High Level Task Force as well as patron of the United Nations Population Fund and Maternity Worldwide.

The international network of shelters (GNWS) is behind the conferences, organized in cooperation with local organizations.
