Nice name although I don't like the way 'Oscar Carl' sounds when said back to back. I was also hoping for a fourth name.

But I should now shut up and let others converse. Just thought it fitting to comment this big event in some way.

Their second born has a more "royal" name than the actual heiress... If only Vic and Dan had been a bit more traditional with their baby's name when Estelle was born...

Oscar really sounds like the name of a monarch, Estelle doesn't.

Long life to Oscar, duke of Scania!

Totally disappointed. I was hoping for a more original name, like "Thomas". I also don't like that the baby has only 3 names. Oh well,I'll have to get used to it.

I hoped that too Martina but I guess it is important for them to like it.  Halo
I hope we will get pics with Estelle and him just as we did with Estelle and Leo.

ITA.

Estelle and Oscar.  Thinking I'm not sure if both names fits. But I will get use to it.

They got a lot of criticism for the name Estelle, so I'm guessing they wanted to avoid that happening again and that's why they chose a more traditional name this time.

Two Oscars were kings in the 1800's: Oscar I and Oscar II and there have been several princes called Oscar too, so it has been a common name for the Bernadotte sons.

Sk?ne is a really heavy weight duchy to have, both in history, the size of the population, all the noble families that reside there etc. I thought that they would pick Sk?ne for Estelle since it seemed fitting to give such an important duchy to the future heir to the throne. I'm glad that it at least was given to the 3:rd in line to the throne.
