If there had not been a war and Germany had remained a monarchy, do you think that Cecilie would have been an Empress of Germany involved with the arts and active in various charities?

I agree. Being involved in the arts and charities was more of a Vicky thing, and Augusta didn’t care for Vicky at all. I don’t think she would have allowed Cecelie to participate while she was alive.

That would have been unfortunate. Some much can be achieved with the arts and various charities.
