Cecilie was beautiful in her youth, but imo she didn't age well.
If there had not been a war and Germany had remained a monarchy, do you think that Cecilie would have been an Empress of Germany involved with the arts and active in various charities?
Could be. She certainly wasn't only the mother type as her mother in law was.
I agree. Being involved in the arts and charities was more of a Vicky thing, and Augusta didn’t care for Vicky at all. I don’t think she would have allowed Cecelie to participate while she was alive.
