It's a beautiful elegant thing, but I'd prefer to wear that piece as a necklace. IMO it's just too narrow for a tiara. But in general I do love floral tiaras, they're usually among the best looking ones.

I think as much, her dress was both well crafted and simple. It did suit her perfectly.

Not presisly the right thread but the last years there has been much speculations if the NRF or SRF bought queen Sofias of Sweden and Norways pink topaz parue of count Folke Bernadotte, he said he sold it to the NRF but it has never been worn. Now Trond Noren Isaksen writes that King Harald bought it in 1994, but it was stolen in the Garrards heist in 1995 where many norwegian jewels were sent for cleaning including the pearl tiara that was later remade, and the Oslofjord bracelet that was also remade. The not so pretty amethyst set was part of the compensation to the NRF. So we will not see it on either Mette-Marit for her 50th next year , or Ingrid Alexandra or Estelle as has been speculated that prince Daniel bought it considering one of the previous wearers was Estelle Bernadotte. A shame, no pink tiara☺️

Because of her ongoing neck problems, I suspect that once Mette-Marit is queen, we will stop seeing the spectacular tiaras that Sonja loves to wear. Some of them are very heavy. I think the diamond daisy is just about the most Mette-Marit can manage for any length of time.

I dont think she really has neck problems since her operation in 2013. The court has never said that.
She just does not seem to like jewels very much, earrings and a bracelet maximum. I hope that next year for her 50th birthday she will wear queen Mauds diamond tiara. Atleast for some portraits.

If Charles coronation is a tiara event I hope for the emerald parue, it has been a tradition for the last two coronations, Cp Martha wore it for both occasions, but in the end probably she will not, but maybe some of the british tiaras the NRF have
