Recently I saw a clip (part of a report) of the visit to NZ. It certainly made me smile, but I haven't found it yet on the internet.
WA has just finished his speech and would like to propose a toast. His empty hand and arm stretched out, in other words, no glass to toast. After a few seconds he makes a comment that normally he would expect a beautiful assistant. Then his wife stands up from her table, walks to the stage and hands him a glass of wine. WA asked for applause for his beautiful assistant.
It is part of something that really hit me during this state visit. WA speaks (very) fondly of his wife and was very complimentary about her.
