Joachim participates in the reception of the maritime Denmark on Training Ship Denmark
Elsinore was the port of entry for training ship Denmark, which recently topped Kronborg, ending winter and spring sailing. Over the past several months, the ship visited ports in exotic destinations like Lisbon, Gran Canaria, the Virgin Islands and Bermuda, where the sun has been high in the sky.

But now this year's trip ended and the 80 students annually take the ship on an expedition, can look back on a trip they'll never forget. They've got color in the cheeks and has been an experience richer.

Prince Joachim is well known patron of Denmark and supported as so often before, up on the ship's return to Danish waters. The end was markerert with a reception on board. Here the students were given the opportunity to greet the prince - and the prince had the opportunity to hear about the long trip to the planet's large garden.

It was Mayor of Elsinore, Benedikte Kier, who officially hosted the reception on board the training ship, which is a three-masted schooner built in 1932nd

On Wednesday, the traingin ship Denmark will sail from Denmark Vedbaek Copenhagen. Here you will once again find Prince Joachim on board. With him he planned both Princess Marie, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena.

Joachim attended the presentation and test drive of the DTU's Roadrunners.
For the 14th time visiting Prince Joachim Tuesday Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby, north of Copenhagen, where he watched some of the last test runs before the team of students from DTU is participating in the Shell Eco Marathon in London for less than a week.

The cars run on ethanol, but then it calculates how far the cars could run on a liter of regular gasoline. And the result is impressive up to 650 km per liter. And the result is impressive - even for Prince Joachim, who himself holds both speed and octane, but also thinking financially when it comes to the royal family's vehicle fleet.

- "We are always thinking about replacing some environmentally-friendly cars in the royal family. There are some really great energy-correct cars on the market to take into consideration. But there is also a reality that must fit together in other areas", said the prince, who this weekend participating in the Classic Race Aarhus.

- "For both races, it's about working as a team. And so it is important not to run into each other. It is where I can give some hints - that is, on how to avoid it", said the prince with a smile.

The clouds hung over Lundtoftesletten as the large, dark blue car elegantly rolled into Produktionstorvet at the south end of campus Lyngby. Behind the tinted windows sits Prince Joachim, and in the square waiting for the press, President Anders Bjaklev and a lot of students in matching red shirts with the words DTU Roadrunners across the back.

The occasion is the annual presentation of DTU's eco-car, which in a few weeks to participate in the Shell Eco-Marathon in London. If it goes as it usually does, then doing 13 version of DTU Dynamo well - as late as 2015 put the car both European and later world record in its class.

After a welcome by CEO Marianne Tellersen got Jesper Schramm, the man behind the project, the honor of standing behind the microphone and tell all the attendees about the improvements that have been made at this year's car. It includes, inter alia, an improved suspension and an exciting project that will culminate in the DTU already next year should be able to put up with a self-driving car.

Then took over the Scottish exchange student Duncan Strachan and Ben Turner floor and they used the time to explain the thinking behind the new, autonomous car that hopefully is combative in 2018. Also from the team behind Aalborg University's 3D-printed car to compete with the others in London. So we went outside, where the drop-shaped car had been rolled out on the asphalt.

After thorough inspection of HRH Prince Joachim, the students walk in the noisy two-stroke engine that drives DTU Dynamo 13.0, and the small car whizzed around in circles among the newly budding trees on Produktionstorvet, much to the delight of the many spectators.

Finally took HRH Prince Joachim word, and he spoke passionately about all the hard work, the fifteen young people behind the year's eco-car has put in to get ready for this year's race in London. In addition, he arranged also to remind the students that if they put in many hours of volunteer projects, so it was important that they had done their exams - much laughter from the audience.

The DTU Roadrunners is a student project at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The team will participate in the Shell Eco Marathon in London.

Prince Joachim was right there in front during his visit to Kalle Maersk Heath in the military shooting range at Oksbøl. Here, 23 Danish and 10 foreign military tank crews competed in Nordic Tank Challenge.

Prince Joachim himself as an active soldier was platoon leader of a tank, so he was used to the big bang, when one of the tanks fired his gun off towards goal in the dunes. From the top of a dune at a safe distance the prince kept track of the military competition.

- "It's a good competition, for it is both measurable, objective and popular. It shows what a winner is made of, and crews will have the opportunity to show how good they are to their craft", featured Prince Joachim, and admitted that it moved a little in him to come on board in the over 62 ton Leopard tank.

- "The kind we had not in my time, and I'm not retrained leopard. The tanks, I drove in, is now out in the dunes as wrecks and some of the targets are shot against the competition", smiled the royal lieutenant colonel.

Good job Jokke!

What else can I say?  If Fred is being set up as the future king of Denmark, they're doing a bad job. I foresee that after all these duties that Joachim has performed, he'll disappear out of sight because someone at the royal palace will have woken up and finally realised they've put the wrong guy on centre stage.  I'm sure they're looking for Fred right now!

I think Margarethe used to discourage anything that had Jokke showing up Fred as a lazy moron. But in recent years Jokke has been publicised more and more. And we seem to be seeing less and less of Derf.

Joachim attended the opening of the Classic Race in Aarhus
Prince Joachim wore a nice suits, but that did not prevent he and Prince Felix to push Prince Henrik and his sister Princess Athena in their smart soapbox to start in the Classic Race Aarhus.

While Prince Henrik steered the car, Princess Athena sat on it and amused herself by holding hands with Sofie Agnete, who was sitting in the car next to her. She is the daughter of Oscar Siesbye who had his son Alexander at the wheel of the second soapbox.

Because Prince Joachim attended the official opening, he was in a suit, and he therefore could not push his youngest son when the race finally starte, but enlisted Prince Felix to help his father's mechanic Ebbe Ipsen to push his younger brother to victory in the first heat.

Unfortunately had the royal team later beaten at the finish line in the internal showdown with Alexander Siesbye. But like the good friends Alexander and Henrik is, it all became celebrated as a common victory.

Maybe Daisy knows she can only find solace in Joachim and his family.  Fred is who knows where and I don't believe Mares has a strong sense of family.  As for Henrik, well, he's gone off somewhere too.
