October 11
Joachim, as Patron of AQUA, opened the Fishing Expo International Exhibition

Prince Joachim: We must watch the oceans
Prince Joachim himself must have felt like a fish in the water, while walking around at Danfish International 2017 in Aalborg Congress & Culture Center.
On its trip around the nearly 350 exhibitors from around the world presented the royal guest the different products, machines, new inventions and foods developed for and by the people of the sea.

- "Here is the whole palette in fisheries. There are 7.5 billion mouths to be fed every day, and fish will always be a staple food that people consume", Prince Joachim said.

For Prince Joachim, protector of the trade fair, it is also important that environmental and recycling is considered.

-"We have a collective responsibility towards nature and our successors, who still need the world's aquarium to catch fish", emphasized Prince Joachim, who himself eats fish two to three times a week.

I'm glad they're sending Jokke.  Firstly, Jokke is Harry's peer; not Fred.  Secondly, Jokke actually cares about the Danish people, unlike Fred.

I'm glad it'll be Joachim as well. That way, I don't have to feel embarrassed.

Although, strictly speaking, Harry's equivalent is Isabella.

That's true.

I can't help but think that if Jokke was the one visiting the UK, they certainly wouldn't bother to send his peer.  Roll Eyes

Of course, they wouldn’t.  Roll Eyes But that’s on the BaRF and their self absorbed arrogance.

October 25
Joachim attends a meeting of Historic Motor Sports Commission, as vice-president of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Paris, France
Through the expertise gained in that arena, the FIA has since grown into a global organization that not only promotes motor sport, but also safe, sustainable and accessible mobility for all road users across the world. As such, the federation works across three key interlinked areas of activity – Sport, Campaigns and Mobility.

In the realm of Mobility, the FIA aims to ensure that safe, affordable and clean systems of transport are available to all. The promotion of safe and sustainable forms of mobility has in turn led the FIA to commit to global sustainability initiatives and also to found its own major response to road safety concerns, FIA Action for Road Safety.

This worldwide campaign, in support of the UN’s Decade of Action for Road Safety, aims to reduce fatalities on the roads by five million before 2020. As the governing body of motor sport, the FIA ensures that fair, capably regulated and above all safe events are conducted in all corners of the globe. Ultimately, the FIA’s goal is simple – to keep you moving, safely and dynamically.
