Re the visit at the Gymnasium

Princess Marie could obviously not hand out all the diplomas to all 400 students at the Academy for Talented Youth. But she was present for the whole ceremony - and held in this connection of the ceremony a speech to the young students, who for two years has followed a program as a precursor to their further education.

The talented youngsters listened attentively as the princess spoke. So did Marie when she subsequently had the opportunity to greet some of the 400 students. We asked two of them what their impression was meeting with the princess and what her visit had meant to them.

What did the kids say? Can one of our Danish Disher kindly listen in and let us know? Thank you  Beer

They said that she understands what one is saying, and is also very interested. That she is down to earth and shared her own experiences epecially studying abroad, which is relevant for them. That it was nice to get experiences of student life from the other side.

  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO P. MARIE

A committed and stylish princess Marie
Stylish, committed and an almost perfect Danish are some of the characteristics which adhere to today's birthday child, Princess Marie. Stylish because Princess Marie has found his very own assured style, whether it's for large gala dinners or whether it is visiting people on edge.

Committed because the princess has an extensive list of patronages, as wide-ranging from Tonder Festival to DanChurchAid. An almost perfect Danish, which is being noticed speech after speech.

So it is truly a princess who has found his own leg to stand on, as on February 6th she will turn 41 years. The princess has previously hinted that she does not feel in her "forties". And 41 is just a number in the range of - hopefully - many.

Marie celebrated her birthday in the company of her father

Princess Marie was joined by her father, Alain Cavallier and children Prince Henrik and Princess Athena at the gala premiere of the Imperial theater in Copenhagen, on Sunday morning - the day before her 41st birthday.

And it was also a smiling and enthusiastic Princess Marie, who clearly enjoyed having family visit from her homeland. BilledBladet wanted to hear how Princess Mary planned to celebrate her birthday, but she did not want to reveal so much.

- "It is a secret. Together with my father", said Princess Marie.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #06, 2017.
Written by Juliane Olsen.

On Sunday, Marie and her father, Alain Cavalier, arrived at a cinema in Copenhagen for the premiere of the Lego Batman movie. In front went grandfather Cavalier, holding his grandson's hand, followed by Marie and Athena, who as usual wasn't the least bit disturbed by adults jumping around with cameras.

Joachim was in Jutland, renaming an airport.

At the cinema Marie met and was hugged by Camilla of Rosenborg, who was accompanying Josephine of Rosenborg and her husband, Kenneth Schmidt and their six month old son.

At the premier present was also Ellen Hillings?e, with daughter and her friend.

What a shame.  How else are we to know that he's semi-royal?

Maybe he'll show up to the next event with foreign royals.  All the cool in-laws do just that.
