For Princess Marie experienced a very special night at the art museum Ordrupgaard, as the new Pissarro exhibition was opened with a festive reception.

She was one of the high profiles on the big night, and among highlights was Princess Marie's speech. She came in on a particular theme, which is close to her heart, namely the close relationship between France and Denmark.

After the speech she was shown around for a closer look at the many works. Only after a good hour, after the princess had seen the many works, she left happy and satisfied the museum north of Copenhagen.

March 13
Marie visit as patron of the Epilepsy Association National Hospital Epilepsy Clinic. Rigshospitalet

In connection with the Brain Awarness Week Marie visits the Epilepsy Clinic at the Rigshospitalet meeting patients and hear presentations on epilepsy surgery.
The princess has been patron of the Epilepsy Association since 2013 and the visit at the hospital also marks the Epilepsy Association start to Brain Week.

On Tuesday, Princess Marie will be traveling to Greenland, where she holds the opening speech while attending a conference on autism, which this year is allocated to Greenland's capital Nuuk. But the day before Princess Marie's departure for the commonwealth northern zone she took the time to visit the epilepsy ward at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

During the visit, the princess got a glimpse of the therapies that patients can be offered, and she also had the opportunity to greet a patient who had just had surgery. Since the 1990s, one in epilepsy patients performed brain surgeries with great success. About 30 patients undergo surgery each year at the hospital.

March 22
Marie - as patron - participated in a joint terrorism exercise in North Zealand of the Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA)

United terror exercise with royal visit
A number of authorities today held a comprehensive, joint terrorism exercise in Hiller?d where HRH Princess Marie, who has undergone an emergency training and associated Emergency Management Agency, also attended.

Terror exercise was a so-called CBRNE exercise. CBRNE covers chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive material. The focal point of today's exercise was chemicals and explosives.

Focus on coordination across
The aim of the exercise was to enhance the ability to coordinate and handle a major terrorist incident, and to strengthen cooperation between state and local authorities. In today's exercise attended besides Emergency Management Agency Joint Services Defence Command, Home Guard, PET, National Police, North Zealand Police, Health, the Department for Patient Safety, Capital Region and Region Zealand, Frederiksborg Fire & Rescue, Center for Emergency Communication and FrederiksborgCentret.

- "And there was plenty to do", said section chief of the Emergency Management Agency Martin Vendelbo.

- "As always with exercises of this nature we train our own efforts but especially coordination and cooperation across between authorities and actors. Such an exercise is pushing us really, and it is always instructive", says Martin Vendelbo.

Royal guest
Princess Marie got insight into the exercise, the official equipment and special skills, and in the interdisciplinary team work and roles between the represented authorities.

- "To follow-terror exercise today at close quarters has given me insight into exactly how the local and state authorities cooperate if the unthinkable were to happen. I hope that everyone involved in the exercise has been a constructive dividend out of it, which can be beneficial for all of us", said HRH Princess Marie.

- "The Princess through her association with the Emergency Management Agency has shown a strong commitment to the work of authorities. The exercise today has given her a thorough understanding of the operational capabilities. We appreciate Her Royal Highness' commitment and interest in exercise activities", adds Martin Vendelbo.

Evaluation and adjustments
After the exercise is completed, procedures and guidelines need to be adjusted as required.

- "After all the exercises we evaluate carefully to ensure that we have taken the greatest possible number of learning points and so on. There are always things to adjust, so we are fully aware, if one day is not an exercise", says Martin Vendelbo.

The Emergency Management Agency and other authorities conduct and evaluate the exercises to strengthen community preparedness. At today's exercise were nearly 100 people in action.

No stiletto heels?  No coy smiles for the press as the person she's there to meet speaks with her?  How else are we to know she's a princess?

Someone should send her to Starmakers.  She needs help here.
