Quote
A message from Kenneth Feld, chairman and CEO of Feld Entertainment, the producer of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey...

After much evaluation and deliberation, my family and I have made the difficult business decision that Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will hold its final performances in May of this year. Ringling Bros. ticket sales have been declining, but following the transition of the elephants off the road, we saw an even more dramatic drop. This, coupled with high operating costs, made the circus an unsustainable business for the company.

Not happy about folks losing their livelihood, but I am so relieved that animals will not be dragged around anymore.

And in this instance I care more about animals not being tortured, and kept in deplorable conditions.

As to caring about those humans who kept these animals in deplorable conditions and made their money off of them, now loosing their jobs:

I hope there's a good home for the animals now.

I hope there's a good home for the animals now.

The elephants went to a conservation park in Florida last year.
Hope they do the same for the rest of the animals.

I'm thrilled for the animals but the history lover in me is kind of sad. Crap
