People wear those things to go snowmobiling on a really cold day in Canada not skiing on a pleasant day. She looks ridiculous, no one keeps wearing it when sitting down and having a break.

If I were Mary ...
and I can't ski nor plan on really learning ...
I put on my winter garb and sit by the fire torches watching my kids take the slopes.   Supercontent

Hmmmmm....all pictures of Mares seem to have her eyes covered wholly or in part. It makes one wonder.

The Australian news just showed the Derfs on Verbier ... with a closeup of Madame showing her is face plastered in Max Factor on the ski slope! What a bizarre woman, wearing full theatre makeup on the ski slopes! No-one else does that!

I also noticed the heavy makeup - plus red nail polish  Crap

The caption of that photo is hilarious:

Uffe Kongsted sounds Danish. Guess he travelled with the Derfs to Verbier to take these "exclusive" photos. Otherwise no one would know who they are.

What an awfully expensive vacation for middle-class people to take for such a long length of time.   Thinking  I know they don't have to pay room and board since they're shacking up with the Derfs, but still.  I'd like to know how much Jane and family are actually paying for and how much the Danes are paying for this little holiday. Thinking

IIRC, Jane isn't wealthy.

Wonder if she still has her "Boost Juice" shop and how that's been going ?!

What an odd group overall. I don't understand why they took that Danish couple. They don't seem to have any children (at least not with them in Verbier). Seems like Mary and Fred each picked someone to join them on this trip.

The problem with Balaclavas is once you have them on, you can't take them off or else you look like a muppet plucked into a power socket:

She's wearing it because her face lift hasn't settled yet.

Balaclavas like that get really hot too and are only best for cutting down cold winds at the neckline. For skiing on a sunny slope? Totally not necessary. Snowmobiling in northern US/Canada or long term outdoor exposure without a warming hut and pretty strong winds? Totally necessary...but only until you get inside. At that point I feel a distinct urge to rip the thing off my head!

If it is a lift as rumored, would she have got that done in Switzerland at some clinic, hence Jane being there?

No surgery, IMO. More a case of being sick of the comments about Marie the expert skier teaching her children on the slopes, while Madam only stands on skis for a minute before handing them to a servant.

So off she went to a posh ski equipment store and bought the most professional looking gear there.

I think she has brainitis, thats when part's of your brain are turning into cotton, and then disolving into air. Your head swells and you need a balaclava to keep your shit together when the temperatur drops. Mhmmm  Yes , it was just added to the WHR at the UN, which Mary is the president of.
