For the tights thing...I'm so done with "the truth" of "the fight". Yes, tights are nice and formalize the outfit but there not worth two grown *ss women fighting over. IF that was the actual cause of the whatever then neither woman was in the right. The one should have been willing to accept advise (as long as it was given kindly) from someone with more royal experience but they other should have realized it wasn't her day, wasn't her choice, and wasn't her place. It's tights...who cares? It not like the world came to an end (or would have). This of course assuming that none of the children suffered do to the lack of tights. And I'm also so sick of publications quoted the mythical royal dress code and other rules when nearly all have been "broken" or disproved.
Kate would have been following the Company dress code, and I can see why the experienced royal - who knows the Queen- would have been sticking to her guns until she simply had to throw up her hands in the face of an entitled tirade.
