Gosh with an interest in textiles and photography and gardening and art I would really like to listen in on Kate and William when they get going on these issues. It's very English and it's very interesting that they both see the world through these pursuits. William may be or become more of Charles's son than can be initially seen. Charles's culture is just sublime and I loved hearing that Philip chose the music for his own funeral so that is maybe a Mountbatten or Greek thing that may live in William and his children let's hope so.

ITA on this one!

Here's a future engagement idea, Daisy attending an embroidery workshop/event with Kate!

It would be interesting to see Kate develop more of this textile interest, perhaps linking it to themes of conservation and nature which she has explored in the Chelsea Flower show and William's interests too. Perhaps she could tie it to her work with pregnancy and early years by promoting reusable nappies etc or encouraging children to develop mindfulness skills via textiles (obviously without using a proper needle or other sharp objects).

Romy has been accepted to Stanford University in Cali.

This time she is speaking with a young lady from the Class of 2020. I felt so bad for our senior class last spring. Prom, Graduation, parties, grad trips, all cancelled. I remember what a fun time it was for me and felt awful for the kids missing out on friends and all of the Senior year fun. Frankly many have missed it this year as well in places where school did not properly open.

No, this information about her rich relatives was definitely available before they were married.  The family trust paid for the Middleton kids' posh educations, which they couldn't have had based on the parents' incomes alone.

Yes this has been around forever. Here’s just one article about Olive.

Yep. It's nothing new. We've seen pictures of her Lupton relatives meeting royals before. It's been known for awhile.

I wonder if the word Lupton was the inspiration behind naming the Cambridge's beloved pet, Lupo?

Nah, I think Lupo means wolf and is a rather popular and common name for a dog, as dogs respond well with two syllable names and easy vowels.

That is more than likely the case. I just just quirky references to the past (I had a field day when August's name was announced!)

It's Italian for wolf.

She’s been having a lot of these. I wonder if something new is coming up.

I would think so, since the pandemic basically stalled the endeavor. Time for it to get going again.

If you are interested in comprehensive coverage of Kates activities, Charlotte does a wonderful job of covering the visits, the charities, fashion, pictures,  etc.

I wish KP would find a way to go more in depth about the charities.

This sounds like a great exhibit! The Imperial War Museum is absolutely fantastic - was lucky enough to visit after they’d done a pretty major renovation and it’s great. Highly recommend visiting if you get the chance.

The Duchess of Cambridge, in an Alessandra Rich dress, has been to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to mark its reopening to the public after loosening of lockdown restrictions.

Kate said during her @V_and_A visit: It’s going to be a good time to visit museums and galleries as they are not full of tourists coming in.’
She added: ‘I am very glad to be here today as we have had to cancel three previous visits because of COVID, so it’s nice to be here.’
