A very worthwhile engagement, and can I just say I think she is dressed splendidly? Dressy casual in slim slacks, a turtleneck and jacket along with the hoop earrings is just right. I really love the jacket color and length.

Video from today's event focusing on a topic that is IMO one of the vital and crucial stages of development for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Quote
The Duchess of Cambridge joined a science lesson at a school in north London this morning, teaching about the early childhood development.
Whilst there, she spoke to students about their learning and joined in with some of the class's activities.

From KP
The first five years of our lives have an extraordinary impact on the adults we become. They provide the foundations for how we respond to our biggest challenges in later life, our long-term health, wellbeing and resilience.
Everyone involved in a child’s early life has a pivotal role to play &
@OxChildPsych’s research educating teenagers in science lessons about how early experiences shape brain development is just one example.

Huge thanks to the pupils of @NowerHillHSfor sharing your experiences!

The day continued with a meeting at Buckingham Palace with education bosses, discussing Oxford University research into secondary education and early neurodevelopment.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

A child’s brain develops fastest in the first five years of life.

Today a group of Academy Trust leaders learnt about the innovative research by
@UniofOxford bringing this to life in secondary schools, like shown on the visit today  @NowerHillHS

1/ This Christmas we are celebrating the incredible work of individuals and organisations across the nation who go above and beyond to support their communities.
2/ Next week, The Duchess will host a Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, supported by The Royal Foundation, bringing many of those inspirational people together.

The service, which will be broadcast in December, will look back on the last eighteen months.
3/ To think not only of the unprecedented challenges that we have all faced as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to remember the positives:
4/ people and organisations pulling together in their communities, the small acts of kindness across different demographics and generations, and the unsung heroes who stepped up to help others.

The Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey will be one of joyfulness. Christmas hymns which are sung with meaning are superb.

This new style definitely suits her, and is very appropriate for the events she has been doing. I’m sure the dresses will return in spring.

I guess time will tell if this is true. I’m excited about Kate hosting a Christmas Carol charity event at Westminster Abbey though!

Exclusive: Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge ban BBC from screening Christmas carol concert amid fury over royal documentary

https://twitter.com/MattS.../1463274015536164870?s=20

Chris Ship tweeted this morning that ITV is in negotiations to air the concert instead. I respect William’s level of petty here Jumping It also sounds like a great event - I went to Evensong at Westminster once and it was incredible - highly recommend for anyone visiting London!

This is giving me the giggles...   Laughing

Absolutely being nitpicky, but it should really be a fountain pen laying on that invitation . . . .

On the other hand, as a teacher, I love that Kate is part of the Flair Pen Club
