Clothes she wears sell out. It’s an economic diplomacy matter.
LOL you are way more positive about the situation than most! I just can't see it that way. Just to illustrate the power of even a two-bit minor royal: an acquaintance of mine owns a fashion brand in Australia. Princess Mary walked into their shop - for a few minutes - on her visit to Melbourne. That chance visit generated sales for the brand that bought my friend an in-ground heated swimming pool. Multiply that by Kate’s media pull! That must have been many years ago and she charged very high prices .... during Covid getting a tradesman to even do an inspection was almost impossible It was last year… Oh she got the pool last year ... after years of waiting... nice for her No, Mary was in Melbourne in April last year. I was shown a photo of the pool in December! Well I’d say the money was there already... but if your friends want to credit Mary for a pop in then to spin their business then good for them.... a pool takes a huge amount of planning over maybe a year and equivalent time in getting it built but if they think she is responsible then I could suggest a Harbour bridge

#1 Not believing the hype about bespoke dresses and dress coats (simply because I know absolutely nobody who would wear or buy a coatdress) but I can see how sales improve on more affordable items, those "cheap" earrings or a lovely sweater, pants or dress might see some Kate effect. But I doubt that the clientele that can afford a four digit price tag is swayed by Kate.
#2 I hope the arctic explorer was outfitted by Elisabeth Arden
#3 and off I go to pull out my old records of Spandau Ballet to gold the evening away... only when you leave is one of my all time fav...

I think some smaller brands do see a real jump in interest sales from the Kate-effect. I'm talking Chalk Jewellery, Zeen (who she wore in Pakistan), Avon Golding (who designed the straw boater worn to Philip's memorial service) and Edeline Lee. So I think when she hunts out smaller, newer brands, they really get a boost.
High Street brands probably get a boost in sales - Accessorise quickly sells out of Kate's earrings.
I doubt the designer stuff is effected in the same way, but it's still probably nice for the brand to see their garments on such a famous figure.
(I have bought two things after seeing Kate wear them - a pair of accessorise earrings and a pair of Superga white sneakers.)

I would agree with that - newer or less familiar brands probably get the biggest boost.
High Street gets a good boost as its more accessible to more people so at least some are going to see Catherine in something and possibly go on to buy it.
I can't see how the likes of Alexander McQueen get the same boost. Yes maybe in those early days when Catherine started wearing McQueen and Jenny Packham (tbh McQueen especially as it probably wasn't seen as a "royal" brand) they got a boost but now its the same old. They are well established and there is a really limited market of people who can afford to wear from those brands, especially repeat customers.

Well at least we know we’ll see many things again. The blue dress in a video above is from 2019 Ireland visit. She also has it in black and wore it on the Windsor walkabout after QE died. She tends to buy things in multiple colors. Did she need another green coat? Heck no! But we also have to remember she wears clothes on the daily for behind the scenes stuff so just because we don’t see every rewear doesn’t mean it’s not happening. I am on the ‘please do lots of public rewears this year bandwagon’ though. There’s been a lot of new stuff the past year it seems. I wonder if she has anyone to organize her clothes in order of when they were worn.

I’m not sure if it’s still Natasha or not. I feel like she needs someone to help organize, keep track, mix and match, etc.

Not to mention the point, which is that Mary ( who as far as I know didn’t know them) spun them a sh*t load of money. In-ground pools don’t take a lot of time or intense planning in any case. And yes they know the visit was responsible for a massive jump in sales.

I feel like she needs someone to help organize, keep track, mix and match, etc. I’d be stunned if everything she wears at public events isn’t well documented where she wore items, when, with who, etc. I bet her dresser or whatever staff helps her, takes her photo before she leaves so all jewelry, accessories, purse, shoes, hair style are documented.

While I don't believe that she has a "dresser" like Angela Kelly, there's an assistant who is likely in tasked with documenting the outfits and keeping her official wardrobe in good shape.

With the ongoing discussion over Catherine's coats, the LK Bennet jacket that she's wearing in the video conversation with Roman is one that she's had since 2011. https://www.instyle.com/k...-shaping-up-video-7105666

KP Shaping Us post “Faces are a baby’s best toy.” On Tuesday we launched #ShapingUs to raise awareness of the vital role our early years play in shaping the rest of our lives. 📸 with Dad, by Mum. [1/3] This weekend, we’d love for you all to spend time with your friends, families, colleagues and communities talking about your early childhoods and how they’ve shaped your lives. [2/3] I hope you’ll also consider joining me in sharing a picture of yourselves before your fifth birthday to help with those conversations and to share some smiles and memories too. A very smart way to get people talking about their lives, good and bad, when they were small.
Love both pictures.
